Four bridge structures were designed including a 2231LF structure with 3 spans of continuous steel plate girders and 29 spans of Type III AASHTO beams, a 121LF cast-in-place flat slab, a 121LF Warren Style truss bridge, and a retrofit to the existing 2426LF bridge that included replacing the middle spans over the St. Johns River

MAJOR ROADWAY PROJECTS

SR 530 (US 192) Widening (SR 535 to Hoagland BLVD)

This project featured the widening of 3.2 miles from a 4-lane rural to 6-lane urban divided roadway, including a 4 span flat slab prestressed concrete bridge over an environmentally sensitive stream. Work featured a sophisticated lighting and landscaping scheme to enhance the visual aesthetics of the roadway due to its proximity to Disney World’s Celebration Project.

US 17/92 Urban Conversion

This project was a Liaison project between Seminole County and FDOT.  Final design included upgrading 1.0 mile of the existing rural roadway to a six-lane urban-divided facility in a highly developed area including primarily commercial businesses with a mix of residential neighborhoods. Widening and pavement overbuild details were included along with critical driveway profiles.  A sophisticated drainage system with exfiltration design, two signal designs, water and sewer utility design, utility coordination with six utility owners, permitting with SJRWMD, an upgraded street lighting, and a comprehensive landscape design.
