Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA) announces that the SR 44 Grade Separation over the CSX railroad Design-Build project for FDOT District Five has won the 2011 FTBA Best in Construction Award for Minor Bridges. Horizon served as the lead design firm. CW Roberts served as the lead contractor and Leware Construction served as the bridge contractor.

FDOT District Two announces that Horizon Engineering Group, in conjunction with Anderson Columbia Construction have been awarded the $59.5 million dollar contract to widen SR 200 in Duval and Nassau Counties.
